Hipp hipp, hooray! Inredningsvis was founded two years ago today! Here’s our first ever post: Bathroom decor in purple :)
Over the past two years, Maria and I have worked countless hours to bring you the best home decor and lifestyle inspiration we can find. So far we’ve featured over 300 articles about decor, food, fashion and travel, and we have got a LOT more in store for our 3rd year online.
We’ve learned a lot during our first 2 years online with Inredningsvis, and we’d like to share 5 of our top tips with you:
1. Building a successful home decor blog takes time
I think this is the number 1 reason why many wannabe pro bloggers quit. To build a successful blog, with quality content, design, and connections, takes a whole lot of time.
We’ve learned that it’s important to offer something of real value.

2. You have to be passionate about what you do
Without passion, any project is doomed for failure. Maria has a passion for interior design, decor, and beautiful surroundings, and this is why she has written the bulk of our articles. She writes about topics that she herself would like to read about, and publishes pictures she herself would like to see.
If you don’t have a real passion for your blog topic, stop. Find something you’re truly passionate about, and get writing! :)
3. Teamwork is important
As you know, Maria is the face of Inredningsvis, and has written the majority of our posts. You can see ALL of Maria’s posts at her author page. Most of my work takes place behind the scenes in the form of programming and technical solutions, although I have published several recipes and other tidbits. My articles can be found at my author page. If we didn’t work together as a team, Inredningsvis wouldn’t exist.
4. Always look to improve
Both Maria and I are constantly looking to improve Inredningsvis, and as such we are working on something big which we plan on releasing in the following months – watch this space!
5. It’s not only about decor.
Community and friendship are just as important, and we’d like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for reading Inredningsvis, and coming back regularly! We read every single comment that we receive, and try to reply to as many as possible. So keep them coming! :)
