Isn’t it wonderful to be outside with friends during the Summer? However, not everyone has the luxury of their own back yard. So, for those living in apartments, there is of course more of a focus on the balcony and balcony decor.
Inredningsvis brings your some of Sweden’s hottest balcony decor styles – you’re guaranteed to never want to step foot inside again :)
Balcony decor
Decor tips: Balconies
1. Country style balcony decor
To get the country or rustic style of balcony decor, check out flea markets and auctions. You can find all sorts of porcelain, caraffes and rugs to get the right sort of country grandma style. Wooden outdoor furniture is of course a must for rustic country style decor.
2. Classy city style on the balcony
This is a cleaner and more luxurious style of balcony decor, and style that is attractive for many city dwellers.
3. The nautical style
Here it’s all about location, location, location, with the big blue as your neighbour, you don’t need much balcony decor.
Keep colours in white and blue, and with wooden furniture.
4. Modern designer feeling on the balcony
This is the outdoor space for the trend-conscious. The style is characterized by lounge, stone and concrete, with some living fire elements to break the otherwise cold atmosphere.
5. Bohemian style a la Morrocco
This is one of my favourite styles, both outside and in. Materials like lanterns and cushions are important here.
6. Luxurious Mediterranean balcony decor
This balcony style is never wrong. Use porcelain in happy colours such as orange and azure. Match with lots of bowls and colourful fruits.
7. Feminine city balcony
Last but not least is the romantic balcony in town – a charming style with a few romantic touches in the decor. Use plinth tables and odd foldable chairs. Colourful flowers are of course a must to get the right romantic style on the balcony.
