I am carrying on Friday’s French theme today. I must admit that I’ve never longed back to the French Riviera and the sun as much as I do right now. It’s freezing cold, dark, windy and really boring weather outside here in Sweden. Sure, it’s cozy with the fire and candlelight for a while, but not every day for six months… :(
Today I have a BIG decor crush on a lovely modern apartment in Cannes, the town of movie stars in France. Today I pay homage to France – the place that awakens my frozen soul with creativity and passion :)

The simple black and white decor in this small apartment is bound together by a stunning herringbone parquet floor. Without this wooden floor in this otherwise spartan home, the apartment would feel barren and cold. The bottom line is therefore to always decorate with some warm wood details to avoid a colourless minimalist feeling.
