Hot Autumn 2012 is shades of deep purple, and they appear frequently both at fashion shows and in decorating magazines. Appropriate given that plum trees in Autumn inspire with their juicy dark purple fruits. Purple has (besides pink) has always been one of my absolute favourite colours. I myself have sewn dark purple silk curtains for the living room and it they look really delicious :)
According to Feng Shui, purple is soothing and associated with intuition and the conscious mind. People who love purple are often artistic, inspirational and artistic. However you should be careful about using purple in a whole room. Use purple for detail and in smaller areas. Purple is a solemn, dignified and spiritual colour often used in church.
