Did you know that normal candles are far from healthy?? In recent times there has been much talk of how many toxic carcinogenic particles a candle exudes every time it is lit. This is scary considering how many candles are burned during major holidays such as Christmas, as well as throughout the Winter. The biggest culprits are unfortunately our favorites the tea-lights, as they emit far more toxins than any other candle… HOWEVER…

Even the favorite tea-lights are available in the Soyalys guaranteed non-toxic variant. Personally, I think that they burn longer than regular candles, which gives them more bonus points :)

Of course, I have found a 100% non-toxic alternative to candles – candles made entirely out of soya. YES you heard right, candles made from soya beans. Soya beans are one of my favorite crop as they can be used for almost anything and are super-healthy.
This week’s online store is none other than Soyalys.dk – selling lovely toxin-free soya candles in different varieties. Soya candles are also biodegradable and have a wick made from pure cotton. Normal candle wick secretes many chemicals such as super toxic lead… really nasty!
My favorites from this week’s store Soyalys are their scented candles. I have several of them at home and my absolute favorite is Cucumber Lavender with a scent of heaven …. mmmm :) Scented candles have no synthetic fragrances and consist of 100% natural essential oils. It feels so much better to light these candles with a clear conscience, knowing that both health and the environment are safe.
