Travel Norway – Visit Ålesund

I was my birthday last week and therefore went to Norway for a week to celebrate. I went to the magically beautiful small town of Alesund with the breath taking Norweigan wievs.

Here’s my little trip to the neighboring country summarized in the pictures because they say a thousand words :)

If you visit Ålesund you just have to walk up to the view of Aksla and the Norweigan hut up there one day when its full sun. There are about 400 steps up and worth every damn step not much beats the breathtaking views of Ålesund Sea and the Norwegian mountains :)

And yes it is worth it even if you are like me have a exersice condition like a pregnant hippopotamus :)

Once your up all the stairs to the prospect awaits a wonderful quiet nature walk through the woods on top. Here I meet the tree man Aksel a old wooden man who watches over his Aksla :)

Facts Ålesund:

In the whole Sunnmøre where Ålesund city included live about 140 000 people.

Full Ålesund municipality comprises approximately 98 square kilometers, of which 8 consists of agricultural land. The town lies at the mouth of the fjords in Sunnmøre and consists of the islands Hessa (4 square kilometers) to the west, Aspøya (0.5 square kilometers) and Nørvøya (7 square kilometers) in the middle and half the island Oksnøya (Ålesund part of it is about 58 square kilometers) of the East . To the north lies the outstretched Ellingsøya (22 square kilometers), which is separated from the already mentioned islands of Ellingsøyfjorden. There are tunnel connections for the water to get into the center.

Myself, I struggled up the Sugar Loaf Mountain, while hearty Norwegians ran past as if it were easier than low-fat milk to climb mountains. I have realized that the Norwegians really is as hearty as it said and they also go on tour every day. I have also realized that we city dwellers are pretty damn lazy and have lost contact with our true origins … ..naturen.

I will definitely go to Ålesund again, and do you like the Norwegian mountains, sea, fishing and cozy house then this is the city you should visit!

Norway with sun it is kjempeflott :)
